After studying at Greenville Technical College in Greenville, SC, where he majored in marketing, Bernard Blassingame was ready to move into the business world. Before joining Liberty National Life Insurance Company (LNL) in 2004, he ran his own successful janitorial business. But when Bernard was ready for a career change, the opportunity to join the Liberty National team was irresistible. “I was enticed to join LNL because of the opportunity the Company offered. Being named Director of the Year is my biggest personal accomplishment with Liberty National, but what’s most rewarding for me is being able to help others, whether it’s my team members or the policyholders we protect,” says Bernard proudly.
What makes Bernard uniquely qualified to be an Agency Owner? “I was previously an Agency Owner several years ago, and I want to step into that role again to give others the same kind of career opportunity I’ve had,” he emphasizes. “This is truly a career in which you get back what you put into it,” he adds.
When not working, Bernard enjoys spending time with his two dogs, cooking up a good steak, and listening to some smooth jazz.
