After Drew Aderholt graduated from North Georgia College in 2012, with a BBA in Marketing, he anticipated joining the’ family’ business. “My dad was with Liberty National Life Insurance Company (LNL) for 38 years prior to his retirement. I knew from an early age this was what I wanted to do,” he recalls. “I was excited to join liberty National because I wanted to make a difference in peoples’ lives. I initially wanted to get into leadership to follow in his footsteps, but not long after joining the Company, it began to feel like a calling, he says. “I knew we would achieve our hiring goals as a team, and the satisfaction I felt training and developing others was second to none,” he adds.
Growing up in the Liberty National tradition makes Drew uniquely qualified for Agency leadership. “Between my experience and my father’s tenure with LNL, there’s a combined total of 48 years of experience. Not many people can step into this role with that level of experience and the relationships built through his career and mine,” he states. “I’m very proud of my accomplishments with LNL. I wanted to earn a six-figure income in my first year with the Company and accomplished it. I was promoted to Agency Director after only eight months and assisted growing this Agency. At age 28 in 2018, I earned my SLU (Senior Life Underwriter??) designation, and with my promotion to Agency Owner, have the ability to continue my father’s legacy. “Plus, it’s tremendously rewarding to watch someone you hired, trained, and developed become successful,” he emphasizes.
Being associated with Liberty National his entire life, Drew appreciates the importance of LNL products. “Our products provide the one thing most people cannot in a time of need … financial resources if the breadwinner is sick and unable to work or to pay bills for surviving family members after a death,” he maintains.
What’s Drew advice when you join the Liberty National team? “Bet on yourself,” he says. “LNL provides a product and service everyone needs, so that part takes care of itself. But be willing to invest in yourself and your capabilities. This career opportunity provides you with the ability to work for yourself but not by yourself. If I could restart my LNL career, I would have invested more in me in order to better serve others. I started at age 22 and probably made some mistakes along the way. If I were doing it again, I could avoid some of those,” he states. “In addition, I think the ideal career has changed for many. People want to control their own destiny and not punch a time clock. Time with family and greater work flexibility is more important than ever along with the ability to work from virtually anywhere. People want to do something that truly makes a difference. Our Agency puts you in a position to achieve all these goals,” he affirms.
Drew’s Agency thrives on community involvement. “We have supported many local charities over the years including ‘We Care’ of Hall County, ‘CASA’, ‘Whispering Angels Youth Ranch’, and ‘Make Tomorrow Better’ at the corporate level. I’m also active in my church,” he says.
Free time is often family time for Drew. “As a family, we really enjoy the lake and spend a lot of time on our boat. I grew up riding motorcycles along with my dad and got into Harleys as I got older. I don’t live and breathe sports, but I am a Georgia Bulldogs fan,” he says.
